Surrender
Surrender struggle, attachment, and doubt to allow the highest divine motion to unfold. Let go and let God.
Mixed media on gallery depth canvas featuring a waning crescent moon created from tide charts along with a bed of blue Lotus reaching towards a cosmic background.
A waning moon is time for surrender, reflection, and regeneration. It is a time for inner peace and self-care. If you look closely, you will find the words release, surrender, and regenerate within the flowers. Inspired by my own journey as a care giver and letting go in an attempt to find peace.
My process is the same for all my pieces. Ideas begin in the margins of my morning writing journal then I move to my sketchbook for a more detailed drawing. Afterward, I move to my collection of hand painted collage paper bins and select which papers I feel best represent the theme through color. All my papers are ripped by hand, or I use my Exacto knives for a clean edge.
