Reflecting God's Grace-Harry Carpenter Div. I First place, Sculpture

This piece was my first solo portrait sculpture. Harry, 91, who sadly passed away last spring, was sculpted from life in his front yard over a 6 month period. Sculpting an elderly person's features and unique characteristics was a thrilling challenge. I hoped to capture his loving, generous, gentle spirit and characteristic smile.
