No Fuss and Feather Div. I, Honorable mention, Oil/acrylic

Feathers are like eye magnets, when I see one I have to pick it up, look at it, or think about it. I never thought to paint one and could not resist this recently lost feather on the water. Feathers have many symbolic meanings, from freedom to transcendence, and even communication. The descriptive “Fuss and Feathers” is an idiom used to communicate ostentation and fanfare. This simple, grey and subdued painting shows no fuss…just the feather.
